Nielsen Tobin was trying to persuade his family with the news he had heard on the radio. Ever since the Ministry of Magic had established the Muggle-born Registration Commission, he had been quietly following the matter. After learning about the recent events in the wizarding world from the Wizard Watchtower broadcasts, he had become even more uneasy.
Although the former Auror named Kingsley Shacklebolt had visited once and offered to take him to a safe shelter, Nielsen had politely refused. His family simply had no intention of leaving their home to seek refuge elsewhere.
Nielsen had even begged the former Auror to alter his family's memories and make them leave for safety, but Kingsley had still politely refused. He had spent some time carefully explaining the terrible situation in the wizarding world and the dangers they might face if they stayed.
However, Kingsley's words had been completely useless.
