"What's wrong?"

In the pitch-black bedroom, Isabelle groggily opened her eyes and looked at Albert, who had suddenly jolted awake and sat up in bed.

"I just had a nightmare."

Albert took a breath and calmed himself, trying to recall the dream that had already begun to blur in his mind. He had a bad feeling, as though something terrible was about to happen.

He did not believe his Divination was good enough to grant him prophetic dreams, but Albert was willing to trust his instincts.

Isabelle sleepily rolled over and sat up, hugging Albert from behind and gently resting her head against his back. "I never thought you'd have nightmares too."

"I never thought I would either."

Albert pulled up the warm blanket, covering Isabelle's pale arm and half-exposed body, then said gently, "Careful. You'll catch a chill."

With a flick of his hand, Albert summoned the wand beside the bed. After leaving behind a brief record, he helped Isabelle lie back down and go back to sleep.

There was still a long night ahead.

That nightmare had left Albert physically and mentally exhausted, yet he no longer felt sleepy at all.

He still vaguely remembered the dream. In it, he had no panels. Though he had worked hard to improve his magic, he was still caught up in the Second Wizarding War. His family had been killed by Death Eaters, and because of his appearance, Harry Potter had ultimately failed to defeat Voldemort. The British wizarding world had fallen completely, and he himself had died under a Death Eater siege.

Yes, in that dream, he had nothing. In the end, he had failed to avenge his family and died beneath Avada Kedavra.

Lacking power was tragic.

But he was not the person from that dream anymore.
