As Shanna slowly recounted Hogwarts's Rescue Operation from the previous night, Albert was not surprised by the outcome, only deeply disappointed in those five family members.
"You seem disappointed. Is it because they hesitated until the very end?" Shanna guessed why Albert was in low spirits. He had always hoped that more wizards would bravely stand up against The Dark Lord, so they could defeat him in the final battle.
"I am a little disappointed.
"But I can understand their choice.
"People naturally seek advantages and avoid harm. If it were me, I'd probably do the same.
"No one likes being dragged into a war."
Noticing the expression on Shanna's face, Albert chuckled softly. "People always like watching others slaughter each other until blood flows like rivers. But have they ever considered that as long as they remain in England, they will inevitably be dragged into this Wizarding War? No one can stay out of it.
"After all, you can't exactly tell The Dark Lord or the Death Eaters that you intend to remain neutral in the war, can you?"
"I never expected anything from those fence-sitters from the start." Shanna was still somewhat angry when she mentioned it. She said without reservation, "They would rather believe the Death Eaters and entrust their lives to the Death Eaters' mercy than believe us. I truly don't understand what they have in their heads."
The family members of those five Dumbledore's Army members were ultimately forced to have their memories altered and sent out of England according to the script Albert had arranged beforehand. They would live in temporary seclusion in other countries until the Wizarding War was over.
