Having just finished working for the Death Eaters, Zack grumbled unhappily while clutching a bag of Galleons. He had once been a member of a Seeker Squad, but ever since those damned Mudbloods went into hiding, it had become difficult for the Seeker Squads to make money by catching people.
Fortunately, those Death Eaters seemed to have gone mad and were producing Inferi in large numbers, which gave them another decent source of income.
The only problem was that making one Inferius had once earned them one Galleon. Now, they had to make several Inferi to receive a single Galleon, making Zack consider whether he ought to quit the damned job.
But even if he returned to the Seeker Squad, it would be hard to earn Galleons by hunting Mudbloods.
Stopping on a street near his home, Zack seemed to sense something and abruptly raised his wand toward a certain direction. However, he soon lowered it again, because there was nothing there.
"Looks like I'm being too sensitive."
Though Zack said that, he still held up his wand and cautiously walked in that direction. He used its light to probe the darkness ahead, but found nothing.
"I really am being too sensitive."
He muttered as he turned back toward his front door.
Well, the house did not belong to Zack at all. It belonged to a young couple.
Of course, it belonged to him now.
As Zack pulled out his key, unlocked the door, and stepped into the entryway, he saw something flash past in the darkness. Then a sudden voice that made his heart race sounded beside his ear.
"Stupefy!"
