"Tom had barely returned to England and he was already itching to stir up trouble. That guy was as annoying as ever."
Albert set down the Communication Bookmark, muttering strange things under his breath.
"Meow."
Tom the cat protested with a meow.
He was not annoying.
"I wasn't talking about you."
Albert reached out and rubbed Tom's head.
"Who's Tom?"
Katrina, who had just put the pear that had frozen black outside into cold water to thaw, suddenly looked up and asked.
"The Dark Lord's name."
"The Dark Lord's name?"
Katrina froze for a moment before realizing whom Albert meant. She then looked suspiciously at her sister, who clearly had known about it for a long time.
"Tom Riddle. That was the Dark Lord's original name. Of course, he later gave himself another name." Albert told the sisters these unknown secrets as though recounting a story.
"Tom Riddle was originally the Dark Lord's father's name. However, Old Tom Riddle was a Muggle. As the noble descendant of Slytherin, the Dark Lord naturally could not accept sharing a name with a Muggle."
"So he changed his name." Katrina found this astonishing. She had never expected there to be such a story behind it.
"Yes. Apparently, after Riddle learned about his origins while still in school, he found and killed the family of the father who had abandoned his mother, then conveniently made his uncle take the blame."
"You really know everything." Isabelle was somewhat surprised that Albert had investigated the Dark Lord's secrets so thoroughly.
"It was Dumbledore's investigation before he died. He later told me this part of the secret." Albert directly shifted the blame onto Dumbledore, though Dumbledore truly had done it, so it was not really shifting blame at all.
"Your enemies will always know you best."
