"What is it? Something on your mind?"
Late at night, Isabelle, wrapped in a thick cloak, pushed open the cabin door and stepped onto the deck, darkened by the night. Her gaze fell on the figure sitting beneath an oil lamp, fishing alone in the sea breeze. She knew that whenever Albert had something on his mind, he would come to the deck alone to feel the wind, fish, and think about how to solve the problem.
"A little."
Albert gestured for Isabelle to sit beside him.
"If you don't mind..."
After sitting down, Isabelle leaned her head against him. The two nestled together, facing the sea breeze and gazing at the pitch-black waters ahead as they spoke softly.
"I've realized... Dumbledore wasn't really a good person either," Albert suddenly said something rather baffling.
"So, you find that hard to accept?"
Isabelle was a little surprised that Albert would bring up something like that. In her eyes, he was not someone who would care about such things.
"No. I was just thinking that there are no such things as good people in this world." Albert picked up the fishing rod, which had caught nothing, and laughed at himself. "I was right not to try to be a good person. Once people reach a certain height, there are no good people left."
"What happened?"
Isabelle was somewhat confused by Albert's words.
Albert briefly told Isabelle what had happened to the wandmaker named Ollivander.
"So you're blaming yourself for failing to save him?" Isabelle was surprised, but it did not feel like that was the reason. Albert was usually rather indifferent toward strangers and would not trouble himself over someone he did not know.
