Arrow on the String

Knock, knock, knock!

After a rapid series of knocks, the door was pushed open from outside. Ron hurried in and shouted at Harry, who was saying his final farewell to Ginny, "Harry, Albert's here. He's waiting for you!"

"You really are such an oblivious idiot," Hermione said to Ron helplessly. "Let's go out first. Don't disturb them."

"It's not like they're saying goodbye forever."

Ron grumbled as Hermione dragged him away.

"I'd wager The Dark Lord won't survive the night."

Watching the bedroom door close again, Ginny turned back to Harry and said, "Ron really is oblivious. No wonder he's never managed to win Hermione over."

"Don't worry. I'll come back," Harry said, ignoring her comment.

"I know."

"We've prepared thoroughly for this, and Albert is with us." Harry looked into Ginny's eyes and gave her one final instruction. "So promise me you'll stay here. Don't go to Hogwarts, whether for me or for our child."

"I will." The smile vanished from Ginny's face, and she nodded seriously.

"And when the war is over, we'll get married."

As he spoke, Harry took out the ring he had prepared beforehand and slipped it onto Ginny's left ring finger.

Ginny's lips trembled as tears of joy spilled down her cheeks.

When she tried to kiss and embrace Harry, she saw him take something else from his pocket.

"You'll keep this for me for now."

Without giving the tearful girl time to react, Harry took out a key and forcibly pressed it into her hand.

"But Hermione said you'd definitely be all right."

Ginny's eyes were already brimming with tears. She knew Harry was making arrangements for after his death.

"Of course I'll be all right. Albert said I'd definitely survive this Wizarding War too."

Harry gently embraced Ginny
