Abforth felt that Albert had set him up.

At the rally, that guy had solemnly assured everyone that once the Acromantulas left the Forbidden Forest and tried to enter Hogwarts, the threat they posed would be greatly reduced. But he seemed to have "forgotten" to tell Abforth that the people fighting alongside him would be a bunch of rookies.

This was practically a death trap!

When Abforth had led people in the attack on Hogsmeade before, it had been nothing like this. His companions back then were not only well-trained and experienced in battle, but all possessed exceptionally strong mindsets. Unlike this lot he had been given, who started trembling in terror the moment they encountered the advance Dementors.

What kind of people were these?

Had every rookie been dumped on him?

"Can such a terrible team really stop those car-sized spiders?"

Abforth quickly realized just how foolish that thought was.

After all, Acromantulas were classified as XXXXX creatures. The pressure of facing these monsters head-on was simply not something ordinary wizards could easily withstand. Those idiots whose resolve was even slightly lacking had not turned and run at the sight of the Acromantulas only because the Dementors' earlier ambush had left their bodies weak and limp, unable to run at all.

Abforth truly could not understand the point of Albert putting those people in his team.

Honestly, even using them as cannon fodder would have been better than the effect they had on the whole team's morale.

If Albert had not remembered to leave him a few reasonably dependable companions, Abforth seriously doubted that when the car-sized Acromantulas attacked their line, the taut strings in everyone's minds would not have snapped.
