Then, in less than ten seconds, they decided to send most of their people back to reinforce them.
At the very least, they had to use the terrain to hold the Dark Wizards, who had already gathered into a force, at the stairwell. Otherwise, once the enemy broke through their blockade, they would be caught in a pincer attack from both sides, and their fate would likely be grim.
As for the original task of clearing out the Dark Wizards on the fifth floor, they could only leave it to Albert alone. All they could do now was try their best to buy Albert enough time.
Even so, Albert still had no intention of giving up on clearing out the Dark Wizards on the fifth floor. He knew very well that without two or three floors to serve as a buffer, it would be difficult to withstand the Dark Wizards' next assault.
Because of Yaxley, the Dark Wizards who had rushed into the castle only to be dealt a crushing blow recovered far faster than they had expected.
In particular, the furious Dark Wizards had joined forces and used their numerical advantage to bulldoze their way forward, causing the first and second floors of the castle to fall rapidly. Many teams suffered heavy losses, especially the Aurors who had not taken Liquid Luck. Nearly half of them had been lost.
Fortunately, Albert was not entirely unprepared. With Shanna's and the house-elves' help, most teams managed to evacuate before they were completely surrounded. They quickly formed new defensive lines, occupied advantageous terrain, and intercepted
