By the time Voldemort truly realized that Albert Anderson posed a threat to him and wanted to personally eliminate him once and for all, he was shocked to discover that it had become exceedingly difficult.

Voldemort burst through the window as a streak of black smoke. After coldly sweeping his gaze over the dark wizard corpses strewn across the corridor, he looked again at the young man standing opposite him, a confident smile on his face.

"Yes!" Albert admitted without hesitation.

Even Voldemort paused, unable to immediately fling an Avada Kedavra at him.

It was not that people had misunderstood Voldemort, nor that Voldemort had suddenly improved his temper. It was simply meaningless. Just moments ago, Voldemort had intended to launch a sneak attack and kill Albert in one stroke.

Unfortunately, Albert had seen through him the instant he arrived.

Once Voldemort realized that a surprise attack would not succeed, he patiently spoke with Albert instead, buying the Dark Wizards time to retreat.

"Come to think of it, I really have you to thank for this."
