Fred and George emerged from Professor McGonagall's Office with grim expressions. It was not that they could not understand Professor McGonagall's decision, nor did they want anything to happen to Albert, but they were somewhat annoyed by her rigidity. Albert certainly would not want to miss the Triwizard Tournament because of someone's schemes.

"What do we do now?" Fred asked.

"We can only hope Lee Jordan can get Angelina to cast a vote for Albert," George said. He had no better idea either.

"I'm afraid that won't work."

Professor Moody's voice came from behind them.

The two turned around in confusion to look at Professor Moody, who had just emerged from Professor McGonagall's Office.

"It's useless. Getting someone else to vote for him doesn't mean anything. Otherwise, I'd have tossed his name in myself long ago," Professor Moody said, leaning on his cane.

"What do you mean?" George asked with a frown.

"Dumbledore mentioned it last night. Whoever puts their own name into the Goblet of Fire is actually forming a magical contract with it. Having someone else vote for him will probably be meaningless, because the wizard casting the vote won't match the name on the contract. Dumbledore probably knows the details, and only he could easily fool the Goblet of Fire and make Albert Hogwarts' champion." Professor Moody sounded rather irritated. "But he obviously doesn't intend to do that. And are you sure Albert has really gone missing? Have you looked elsewhere?"

"We've looked everywhere, but we still can't find him," George said before Fred could answer.

"Now this is troublesome," Professor Moody muttered as he walked away. "I need to think of something else."

"Do you think Professor Moody was putting on an act?" Fred asked his companion with a frown after Moody had left.
