Hermione had barely sat back down when Ron, who had been leafing through the Defense Guide, put down the magazine and looked up. "Hermione, what did you go to Anderson for?"
"To give him this month's manuscript for review." Hermione lowered her voice.
"What manuscript?" Harry asked curiously.
"The story manuscript at the back of the Defense Guide." After saying that, Hermione's expression became slightly awkward.
"You wrote that story?"
Ron looked utterly astonished. He was practically about to flip the Defense Guide to the last page and point at the story while asking Hermione about it.
"Don't go telling everyone." Hermione shot Harry and Ron a fierce glare, wanting them both to shut up.
"I remember the article wasn't published under your name."
Harry had naturally read it. Every month, he read the Defense Guide from cover to cover. The magazine Sirius Black had started was genuinely excellent, and its articles on Defense Against the Dark Arts always benefited him enormously.
"Oh, right, help me look through these readers' letters first." Hermione pulled out a pile of letters from her robe pocket and handed them to Harry and Ron.
"Why don't you read them yourself?" Harry picked up one of the letters and asked in confusion.
"If the contents are awful, I won't read them and spare myself the irritation." Hermione gestured for them to read the letters first. "If the readers' letters are all right, then let me see them."
Ron and Harry exchanged glances, then smiled as they opened the envelopes in their hands, pulled out the sheets of paper, and began reading.
"I think that was a very sensible thing to do. A lot of readers aren't friendly."
