Ever since Albert decided to make time to complete the "Reading Maniac" task, his already busy life had become even busier. Besides finishing the homework assigned by his professors every day and finding time to write to old friends, he also had to devote more time to reading those brick-thick books. Reading ancient books on Dark Magic in particular could hardly be considered rest; it was a heavy burden.
Of course, reading more was always beneficial.
Albert had gained quite a lot as well. He had acquired a certain understanding of Dark Magic and no longer regarded it with the same awe and distance as before.
During the time Albert spent reading in the Restricted Section, he had attracted Dumbledore's attention.

Even with the Time-Turner, Albert had exhausted himself. He could have taken a holiday, lived the peaceful little life he wanted, and taken things easy.
There were many things that, if he simply gave them up, would allow him to live quite happily.
