On the other side of the maze, Barty Crouch Jr. lowered his wand and quietly watched Harry Potter lying unconscious on the ground, the corners of his mouth curling upward uncontrollably.
Harry Potter had been diligently practicing magic for the third task.
And the result?
Barty Crouch Jr. had used a Disillusionment Charm to hide himself, standing silently at the passage exit. Once Harry Potter emerged from the corridor, he had quietly cast a Stunning Spell at his back.
There had been no fierce resistance—rather, no resistance at all. The famous Harry Potter had been subdued just like that. Even when he collapsed unconscious onto the ground, he had no idea what had happened.
It was as though all of Harry's efforts over the past while had been nothing but a joke.
"If you'd stayed put and waited, I might have had to put in a bit more effort." Barty Crouch Jr. took a scarf he had prepared beforehand from his pocket, waved his wand over it, turned it into a Portkey, and firmly tied it around Harry Potter's arm.
Then Barty Crouch Jr. stood nearby, took a pocket watch from his pocket, checked the time, and began the final countdown.
"...Three... two... one. Time's up!"
Barty Crouch Jr. snapped the pocket watch shut, and Harry Potter abruptly vanished from before him.
"If only that Mudblood were as easy to deal with as you." Looking at the spot where Harry Potter had disappeared, Barty Crouch Jr. could not help letting out a sigh of relief. He had finally completed the task the Dark Lord had given him. Next, he just needed to... buy enough time for the Dark Lord's resurrection!
It would be best if he could eliminate all the champions. That way, there would definitely be enough time.
