The duels onstage continued. The wizards bold enough to enter the Duelling Competition were never weak. So long as the matches did not become one-sided beatdowns, the competition remained thoroughly exciting and worth the ticket price.
Thunderous cheers swept through the entire stadium. Whenever a dark wizard was defeated, the atmosphere became especially frenzied, just short of people shouting for the dark wizard to be killed on the spot.
Of course, anyone who had become a dark wizard and still dared to compete was usually quite capable. Most dark wizards had bounties on their heads, and very few unlucky fools were eliminated in the first round.
After all, once the competition ended, they could easily catch the attention of Bounty Hunters or Aurors and get themselves killed.
After defeating his opponent, Albert returned to the contestants' waiting room in Zone 3. He also had to draw another number to determine the order of appearance for the second round.
