"Did you just go out?"
Albert had barely returned home when Isabelle caught him.
"I just went out to buy a few things. Don't worry, I used Polyjuice Potion."
"Why didn't you have Kara buy them for you?"
Isabelle felt that Albert was not telling the truth, or at least not the whole truth.
"I stopped by Hogsmeade Village on the way and got a few things from an old friend." Albert stepped forward, intending to give Isabelle a hug, but she dodged him.
"Don't worry. I've always been good at protecting myself."
"You're getting fonder and fonder of lying," Isabelle said expressionlessly.
"I'm telling the truth."
Albert really was telling the truth. He simply had not finished telling it.
He took the bag from the house-elf, pulled out the gift he had bought for Isabelle, and smilingly held it out to his girlfriend.
"You'll definitely like what I bought you."

Taking the paper bag Albert handed her, Isabelle opened it and glanced at what was inside. After hesitating for a moment, she ultimately did not take it out.
"You don't like it?" Albert asked.
"I'm not eating it," Isabelle said with a straight face. She suspected Albert was trying to make her fat.

With a smile, Albert rummaged through the paper bag and pulled out some ice cream. Then he turned to the house-elf behind him. "Kara, go find Katrina and tell her I brought dessert for everyone."
