The results of Britain's May 5, 2005 general election were in. The previous prime minister had won re-election and was now giving a speech on television.
"We can go, Snape." Gong Saiyi stuffed the list and contact details from the printer into his briefcase.
Severus ignored him.
"Any news?" Gong Saiyi asked.
"The British Ministry of Magic has wizards stationed at Downing Street to protect the prime minister. Does the French Ministry of Magic have people protecting the prime minister at the Élysée Palace as well?" Severus asked.
"I don't pay attention to that." Gong Saiyi switched the briefcase to his other hand. "Why are you asking?"
"Nothing." Severus said. "We'll meet at Les Invalides."
"You still want to pry open his coffin?" Gong Saiyi asked warily.
"I need to confirm something. I heard that when they transported that painting, it was too large and had to be cut in half. I'm going to see whether the one at the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute was cut apart."
"Then we could meet at the Louvre Museum or the Eiffel Tower. Why Les Invalides?"
"Do you want to protect his sarcophagus?"
"I don't want to get into any more trouble," Gong Saiyi said. "Especially when I hear all of Europe might descend into chaos."
"I thought you were used to it." Severus curled his lips. "Britain, on the other hand, has been peaceful for too long. While the whole world is in turmoil because of Grindelwald, the Ministry of Magic still has time to send Aurors to support other countries."
Gong Saiyi's eyes widened.
"If the British Ministry of Magic comes meddling again, we'll need to make some noise to lure them away from the Louvre Museum. If Napoleon really is coming back, I need to leave them some clues."
