Severus found Felix by the bar first.

A thirteen-year-old boy, dressed in formal wear for a dinner party, sat on a barstool nearly as tall as he was, drinking cola through a straw.

The "big sisters" around him apparently found the sight amusing and took photos with him. The brat responded with a greasy smile far too mature for his age.

The Slytherin Head of House saw it too and casually smacked Felix on the back of the head.

"Who are you?" Felix asked angrily.

"You should address me as 'sir,'" Severus said ominously. "Where's your father?"

"Over there." Felix pointed toward the dance floor. Amid the dim, constantly shifting colored lights, the three of them found Felix's father, Haji. He was not dancing; instead, he had a young man by the collar and was very "skillfully" escorting him to the edge of the venue, handing the "chick" in his grasp over to the security guards.

Bruny and Monica were behind him, so Severus lifted Felix down from the barstool and went over with them.

They were still arguing when they arrived, but the fierce-looking "chick" immediately lost his swagger upon seeing Susanna. Judging from his body language, he seemed to want to flee like the other young men from earlier.

"What trouble did he cause this time?" Susanna asked, staring at the young man.

"He wanted to switch dance partners." Haji pointed at Bruny. "This kid wouldn't agree."

"Wasn't your original dance partner good enough?" Susanna looked around. "Where is she?"

"He didn't come over with her," Haji said.

Susanna looked at the young man in surprise.

"He's not my dance partner," the young man hurriedly explained. "We only came together..."

"What about that supermodel from last time? Did you break up?" Susanna cut him off.
