Though it was a tent castle drawn on paper, it was still astonishing to see it erected in just a few days. More importantly, it even had some wooden structures inside. Unlike ordinary rope-supported tents, it did not look as though it would collapse at the first gust of wind.

By the time Georgiana entered, the dining tables had already been arranged and covered with snow-white tablecloths, though no place settings had been laid out. Not far from the main tent stood a smaller one serving as a temporary kitchen, where the cook could be seen directing the helpers as they turned whole roasted lambs over the fire.
