"Please, sit."
Albus Dumbledore pointed to a row of chairs set side by side and spoke to Pomona, who was still reading.
"What did you want to see me about, Headmaster?" she asked nervously.
"Oh, didn't Fillius tell you?" Albus asked in surprise.
She shook her head.
"This has to do with one of my little hobbies." After Dumbledore took a seat, he said to the lowered curtain, "You may begin."
As soon as he finished speaking, the sky-blue curtain floated up on its own. Then she saw Ravenclaw's Head of House, Flitwick, dressed in tails. He bowed to them both, then waved his wand like a conductor's baton. The instruments rose into the air by themselves.
"This is music Fillius prepared for Halloween. He wanted me to appraise it," Albus explained.
"What?" she asked, perplexed.
"What is it that you don't understand?" Albus said.
"Why me? I'm only a student," Pomona asked, baffled once more.
"I heard that Mr. Black intended to take advantage of Saturday's trip to Hogsmeade to use the Floo Network to reach the Leaky Cauldron in London, then go hear The Beatles perform live. Did you know about this?"
Pomona went completely still, as if petrified.
"Sit down. I'm not asking you to inform on him." Albus smiled. "I merely wanted someone to keep me company."
Pomona immediately sat in the seat beside Albus. Sirius had indeed invited her to hear The Beatles perform. Of course, it would not be just the two of them; James Potter, who was equally curious about Muggle rock music, was going too.
"Relax. You're here to enjoy yourself," Albus said with an easy smile.
