Flitwick's office was in a room on the seventh floor of the West Tower. From its windows, one could look down over the entire West Tower garden and the walled garden. His door was always open, welcoming anyone who came to ask him questions.
His bedroom was next door to his office as well. Ever since becoming Head of House, he had rarely had the chance to go home—assuming he even had a home. The West Tower was quite close to the owlery and had something of an isolated feel to it, but Flitwick actually had many friends. Once they arrived, many people took the initiative to greet him, an experience Pomona had never had when going out with Severus.
"Filius, who is this young man?" Bertie Bott, the inventor of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, studied Cedric for a while before asking loudly.
"This is Cedric Diggory, from Hufflepuff," Flitwick introduced.
"It is an honor to meet you, sir." Cedric immediately shook Bertie Bott's hand.
"What did you bring him here for?" Bertie Bott asked Flitwick.
"To learn how to become an accomplished person, sir," Cedric said.
Bertie Bott smiled and took a puff of his cigar. "Your professors are very accomplished too, and equally worth learning from. Oh, I heard that the young Slytherin Head of House is entering the Potions competition this year."
"That's right. The Headmaster told him to prepare before the competition, so he sent me here." Flitwick craned his neck. "Why hasn't anyone prepared some chairs? Talking while standing is exhausting."
"Why don't you float yourself like you do in class?" Bertie Bott asked.
Then the two of them laughed together.
Pomona completely failed to understand what was funny.
"Isn't that former Minister for Magic Millicent Bagnold?" Amos Diggory said, looking at a woman
