Fred and George Weasley were eight years old this year. They loved the Christmas present Bill had given them: yo-yos, toys from the Muggle world.
In fact, Bill had gotten them from the Magic Yo-Yo Club. They had managed to put a glowing eye on each yo-yo, which supposedly looked very "cool" during performances.
They were fine during the day, but at night, they looked like an eye floating in midair. As a result, none of the newly enrolled first-years joined their club.
As the older students graduated... actually, none of the older students played with them either. The current club members were mainly worried that, after they graduated, there would be no new blood and the Yo-Yo Club would disappear, so they looked everywhere for recruits.
When Bill asked them for yo-yos, they agreed without hesitation. After the holidays, they found Bill at an event. Bill told them his younger brothers loved yo-yos and were even willing to join the club, on the condition that they waited three years.
Bill had graduated three years later, but the club members felt that having hope was a good thing. Then they and Bill left happily.
"Devil!" Pomona said to Bill's retreating back.
By comparison, Charlie was much more well-behaved, but he had been hospitalized again.
Though it was common for Quidditch players to be hospitalized, Charlie had not been injured in a match this time. A Graphorn had rammed into him.
"I only wanted to show it some friendliness," Charlie said weakly.
Once Vera recovered her health, she regained the Graphorn's ferocity. Other than Barnaby, Liz, and Hagrid, she was close to no one.
"I want to show friendliness too, provided you drink your medicine," Poppy Pomfrey said, then fed Charlie Skele-Gro.
