Spark came to the lakeshore in the Forbidden Forest, then leaped into the lake.
The water was shallower than it had expected, barely reaching its knees. So it simply knelt down and rolled about in the lake.
"Maybe it's because it's too hot." Pomona watched the moose frolicking in the lake. "A Scottish summer is too hot for an Arctic creature."
Severus said nothing. He stood in the shadows with Pomona, watching Spark.
Apart from its size, a moose was actually very much like a stag, with the same magnificent antlers.
"We can't let it stay here. We have to send it back to its den before anyone else finds it." As she spoke, Pomona drew her wand.
The lake water slowly began to freeze, but Spark's movements kept the center from solidifying. Fortunately, the cool temperature visibly calmed Spark down.
"Do you think an animal that drinks unicorn blood would be cursed?" Severus suddenly asked.
"What?" Pomona asked in surprise.
"I was just curious." He smiled. "If it drank unicorn blood, would it become like a human?"
"Stop that dreadful line of thought." Pomona spoke sternly. "It isn't funny."
He turned to look at her.
"Maybe it left the cage that trapped it because it was hungry. How do you know it didn't fill its belly first, then come here to 'bathe'?"
Pomona found his thoughts far too sinister. Then she looked again at the clear lake water. If Spark really had done as he said, and still had unicorn blood on its body, then neither Centaurs nor any other animals could drink from this lake.

Compared with those three Muggle children, the judge had clearly caused far greater harm. Grindelwald had even exploited this, asking
