"Oh, this is terrifying." Alice exclaimed, holding the photograph.

"You're pregnant, dear." Frank took the photograph from Alice's hand. "Try not to look at this sort of thing."

Alice pouted at Frank, then went back to tidying the kitchen.

The Order of the Phoenix seemed to have suddenly become a childcare center. Two pregnant women were crammed into the tiny kitchen, though fortunately Alice did not come often unless she could no longer stand Augusta.

She was an old grandmother with an extreme need for control. Frank and Alice had originally wanted to move out after getting married...

With a crunch, Sirius Black took a bright red Apple from the bowl in front of Pomona and bit into it. He was wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt printed with a Phoenix.

"I heard Sirius and James nearly got arrested by the police yesterday," Alice whispered as she leaned close to Pomona.

Pomona naturally knew about it, because she had been the one to erase the two policemen's Memories. The T-shirt Sirius was wearing was the very one he had worn when he had nearly been arrested the night before.

"Don't look so tense. It's no big deal," Lily said beside them. "James and the others were avoiding Death Eaters at the time."

Did they know how difficult it was to find the people involved among so many policemen?

She felt that neither the Order of the Phoenix nor the Death Eaters took the International Statute of Secrecy seriously anymore.

So she set the washed Apples down heavily beside her, venting her anger. But Alice and Lily were busy talking, and neither noticed her displeasure.

A hangover was the punishment for revelry the night before.

Pomona's entire body ached as though it had fallen apart, and the sunlight streaming through the curtains
