Time passed quickly. It was already December, and this book had gone from just over twenty chapters to more than sixty. Honestly, simply watching the chapter count continue to rise filled me with an inexplicable emotion.
First, a report on the results: this book's current stats were pretty dismal. Maybe it hadn't been tested yet, so let's just pass over that. Anyway, they weren't good.
Next, I should talk about this book's plot. Honestly, the main reason I wanted to write this book was because of one particular storyline that gave me the idea to write an Against The Gods fanfic.
And that storyline was Xiao Feng's Heavenly Gifted Nine Tribulations arc.
Didn't I mention in November's summary that this book had been started in a rush? I just started typing and posted it right away. Everything that came afterward was developed around that Heavenly Gifted Nine Tribulations scene.
When I posted the first chapter, I had no idea how to transition into the tribulation-crossing scene.
My mindset at the time could be described like this—
How was I supposed to transition the plot into tribulation crossing? Should I just write it directly? No, that wouldn't feel immersive. I needed to come up with some transitional scenes...
And so the Mystic Dao Assembly came into being.
You could say that the idea of tribulation crossing came first, and the Mystic Dao Assembly before it came afterward.
Then came the Mystic Dao Assembly plotline.
The Mystic Dao Assembly had only been a random idea at the time, but when I wrote Xiao Feng's "Ice Breaking Flame Burning" scene, it felt really satisfying. After all, water and fire counter each other—that was probably most people's understanding. I was incredibly immersed in it myself; I just didn't know how you all felt.
