And those professors were not all from Hogwarts, either. A large portion of them came from distant Uagadou in Africa;
Even if the Hogwarts professors could keep their mouths shut, those professors from Africa would not indulge the English Minister of Magic.
After the truth came to light, he had given Peter Pettigrew a chance to run. As long as Peter Pettigrew disappeared, without the key evidence, there would be much more room to maneuver;
Unfortunately, even when Peter Pettigrew was given a chance, Peter Pettigrew proved useless. With Vizet Lovegood's help, he was actually captured again;
