Diagon Alley was rather quiet at night. When Xenophilius Lovegood heard someone call his name, he turned and saw Cornelius Fudge, whose eyes looked somewhat hazy.
He walked up to Cornelius Fudge and caught a whiff of alcohol. Frowning, he said, "Oh my! If it isn't the great Minister Cornelius Fudge?"
Xenophilius Lovegood's teasing tone stabbed into Cornelius Fudge's ears like sharp thorns, and that mocking expression kept needling him too.
He glared fixedly at Xenophilius Lovegood, his breathing growing rapid. He raised a hand and pointed toward a nearby alley, his voice forced out through clenched teeth. "Get over here!"
