Herpo's hoarse voice came from nearby as he slowly walked toward the center of the room.
A huge Hexagram Magic Array had been drawn on the central floor. At each point of the magic array stood a mirror, and all six mirrors were astonishingly large, their tops already touching the ceiling.
A candle had been placed before each of the six mirrors. The candles had been lit, their orange-yellow flames swaying faintly in the air.
Morgan le Fay stood at the center of the Hexagram Magic Array. With the help of the candlelight, faint images appeared in all six mirrors.
Only these images were extremely strange. They did not reflect her appearance, but instead showed all manner of uncanny forms.
In one mirror was a female figure draped in a burned nun's robe. The face beneath the hood was blurred and indistinguishable, as if the flames had already burned away her features, leaving only embers that flickered like breath.
In another mirror was a figure like a ghost, dressed in brilliant finery, with withered vines coiled around her body, looking extraordinarily eerie.
In another mirror was a blurry humanoid mass, seemingly kneaded together from blood and gemstones, its misplaced features pieced together from jewels, giving off a twisted, grotesque feeling.
Morgan le Fay seemed not to notice Herpo's arrival. Like someone teasing a pet, she idly waved her arms at the mirrors, and the figures within swayed along with her movements.
Only when Herpo stood before her did she lazily say, "Is that so? The place I had you watch—has that been breached too?"
"It has not been breached yet," Herpo said. "They found those anomalies with great precision and separated the sacrifices out."
"Is that
