Serena Pendragon thrust her wand forward and shouted at the towering mound, "Raging Star!"
A ball of frigid white light shot from the tip of her wand. Like a flickering flame, it traced an irregular path through the air.
The white light struck the mound and erupted with a thunderous boom. As dust billowed into the sky, the mound before her vanished completely.
"Whirlwind Sudden Roll!" She raised her wand and slashed it through the air. The cloud of dust was immediately swept away by a fierce gale, howling into the distance.
She narrowed her eyes slightly and caught sight of the figure fleeing in panic.
"Found you!" she laughed excitedly as her feet left the ground.
With a rumbling roar, she caught up to the fleeing figure. "Stupefy!"
The figure shuddered violently and, strangely enough, shrank by a size, narrowly dodging her Stunning Spell.
He even turned back to counterattack. Several stone spears burst from the ground and stabbed viciously toward Serena Pendragon.
Like a fish gliding through water, Serena Pendragon curved smoothly through the air and easily evaded the sudden stone spears.
"Adley Pratt, surely you're not all talk, are you? That so-called Goblin serial killer—did Herpo just deliver them to your doorstep so you could kill them and build up your reputation?"
"Damn it!" Mocked by Serena Pendragon, Adley Pratt cursed. His eyes flickered repeatedly, as though he were considering whether to vent his anger or flee as quickly as possible.
