These Magic Airships were only similar to airships in shape. The gondolas beneath the gasbags were actually about the same size as the gasbags themselves, so they were clearly flying with the aid of magic.
A clear glow shone from the front of each gasbag, outlining Ilvermorny's School Emblem;
At the center of the School Emblem was a four-leaf clover design, and branded over the four-leaf clover were images of Magical creatures. From top to bottom, left to right, they were Thunderbird, Cat Leopard, Horned Serpent, and Pukwudgie;
Around the four-leaf clover was a ring of interlaced ribbon patterns, on which were written the words "Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." Both the four-leaf clover design and the ribbon pattern were branded onto an eight-petaled floral motif.
Whether flying or landing, the Magic Airships made very little noise. As they descended in orderly fashion, the students' murmurs gradually died away as well.
After several cabin doors opened in succession, students and professors stepped out of the gondolas one after another. They looked toward Hogwarts Castle before them while beginning to form ranks.

When Ilvermorny New Students were Sorted, they stood over the "Gordius Knot" in the center of the castle hall and let the four Magical creature statues consider which house they belonged
