"But we also need to consider one thing..." Draco narrowed his eyes slightly, a hint of disgust flashing across his brow. "They... clearly know about this too."
Harry nodded. He understood that by "they," Draco meant Karkaroff and Seraphina Piqueri.
"Would they really go that far?" Cedric asked, bafflement in his voice. "He's still the headmaster of a Magic School, at least..."
"He's already done that sort of thing, actually..." Draco shrugged, his tone making it sound only natural.
"Vizet becoming the so-called 'Champion of the sixth Magic School'—wasn't that because of Karkaroff and Piqueri?"
"It's just that, for the sake of everyone's dignity, some things can't be said outright... Anyway, I don't mind assuming the worst of certain people."
"Maybe Karkaroff would object?" Harry thought of a possibility. "After all, Krum is Durmstrang's Champion."
"If our opponent turns out to be a Fire Dragon..." Vizet said, "and Flying Broomsticks can be used, then there's actually one more thing we need to pay attention to."
Harry, Draco, and Cedric asked in unison, "What is it?"
"The size of the Fire Dragons..." Vizet said. "Hungarian Horntails and Norwegian Ridgebacks are similar in size, with an average length of fifty feet."
"Hebridean Black Dragons are a bit smaller, but they're still thirty feet. Swedish Short-Snouts average twenty-five feet, and ordinary Welsh Green Dragons are eighteen feet..."
"You can try picturing it..." Vizet waved his Wand, and thick mist poured from its tip.
The mist spread through the classroom, turning into a Fire Dragon made of fog.
Cedric, Draco, and Harry instinctively swallowed. Even though the misty Fire Dragon was curled up in the corner of the classroom, it still made them feel a sense of pressure.
