Inside Voldemort’s Soul Maze, the Master revealed that he had created the magic Voldemort used and claimed to be the world’s sole ruler. He vanished after sensing a power that could harm him, and Serena Pendragon arrived at Hogwarts and identified him as Grindelwald.

As despair gripped the group and a light flashed near Xenophilius Lovegood's home, Serena Pendragon, Dumbledore, and Gellert Grindelwald broke free and attacked The Master.

  • Vizet argued that The Master was speaking with him because events had slipped beyond his control and he was waiting for an opportunity.
  • Vizet revealed that The Master was waiting for the moon to fall, and everyone looked up and saw that it had stopped growing closer.
  • The Master demanded to know what Vizet had done to the moon.
  • Vizet explained that he had put distance between the moon and the world by using the stable connection he had gradually formed with it.

Ch. 1998Breaking Out of the Shell

Vizet explained how his bond with the world let him increase the distance between the world and the moon, forcing The Master to abandon his temporary body. The moon then began to collapse and reveal The Master’s enormous skeletal true form.

  • Vizet identified his promise of family as his Anchor Point and explained that emotional connection could change the distance between existences.
  • The Master realized Vizet had used his bond with the world to push the moon farther away and angrily vanished.
  • The students wondered what Vizet would do, and Fred and George recalled the nuclear bomb Vizet had thrown onto the moon.

Ch. 1999At Last, We Could Stand in the Same Future

As The Master’s colossal skeletal form vanished and descended toward them as a tiny white dot, Vizet revealed that his Ritual Magic Array was meant to welcome Mr. Miklantikutli. Xutikutli appeared beside Vizet, and the two greeted each other as they finally met in the same future.

  • Vizet used his magic to ease the crowd’s discomfort as the moon transformed into a colossal skeletal shadow that frightened even retired Aurors.
  • Serena Pendragon questioned Vizet about The Master, the treasury, and the Pathway, and Vizet explained that the treasury was the Otherworld and the Pathway was the Misty Illusory Realm he had created.

Ch. 2000Foolish Beyond Even Rats!

Vizet’s magic summoned those who had died fighting for the future, giving them a chance to face The Master again and finish what they had left undone. Godric Gryffindor and the other Hogwarts founders appeared among them, and the chapter ended with them arguing over what they had taught Vizet and Salazar condemning Horcruxes.

  • Xutikutli charged toward The Master, while Vizet apologized in case his decision had displeased Miklantikutli.
  • Figures from the past emerged one after another and conveyed their gratitude and excitement to Vizet through magical fluctuations.

Ch. 2001A Brand-New Sorting Hat

The four founders discussed Horcruxes and reconciled as they prepared to finish their work and protect the world. They renewed the Sorting Hat, with Dumbledore taking it last and looking wistful.

  • Salazar Slytherin explained that he had studied Horcruxes because they concerned life and death, while the founders teased him about his past.
