Kefu and Tang Lide saw that Lord Duogan had admitted she was in the wrong, so they stopped asking questions.
Those details could wait until they returned to Strathford.
They were, after all, aboard their opponent's starship. What if they said something inappropriate and provoked the other side again? Besides, this concerned Lord Duogan's defeat; it was hardly suitable to discuss it in front of outsiders, was it? The Unlucky Starship returned safely to Strathford Star, encountering several Garrison Ships along the way.
However, Kefu stepped forward each time and, after identifying himself, stated that Strathford's affairs would be handled by Strathford itself.
Only upon reaching Strathford Star did they discover that, besides several additional Garrison Ships appearing out of nowhere, quite a few warships had also arrived.
Not counting the previous Company-level Warship, there were another three Company-level Warships and two Battalion-Class Ships.
With Battalion-Class Ships backing them up, the military was visibly more confident. They demanded that the Unlucky Starship explain its previous actions.
Fortunately, since they had yet to determine the other side's background, the military's wording remained relatively polite.
However, to justify their intervention, they had found a reason—and it sounded quite serious.
"You have not only damaged the Empire's public resources and facilities, but have also severely disrupted the unified planning and management of space."
It was all utter nonsense. Kefu had wanted to answer, but Paranoid waved a hand and impatiently stopped him. "I'll do it!"
He had no such reservations when he spoke. "There are people from Strathford aboard this ship. Go find out for yourselves and quit all that nonsense!"
The next moment, someone else on the military side spoke. "What are your identities? Report them!"
"Damn," Paranoid nearly laughed. "Here comes someone looking to die. You think a Battalion-Class Ship makes
