When it went all out, its probing ability was astonishing, which was why outsiders respectfully called it the "World-Patrolling Envoy."
Just thinking about it made the point clear: what kind of ability would it take for people to believe it could inspect the entire Houde Realm?
Innate Spirit Treasures had no fixed realm. They were usually considered to start at the Out-of-Body Realm, and those that Nascent Soul Realm cultivators could drive had definitely not awakened their innate nature yet.
But an Innate Spirit Treasure at the Soul-Splitting Realm was not surprising either. It might have grown on its own, or it might have been born that way.
Lingyun Sect's Heaven-Monitoring Mirror had been left behind by the Founding Patriarch. Its realm was a mystery, but it should have been more than an ordinary Out-of-Body Realm treasure.
However, though it was called the World-Patrolling Envoy, it was ultimately only an auxiliary-type magic treasure, so most cultivators were not especially afraid of it.
In particular, this treasure had a spirit, and it was no ordinary cleverness either. Much of the time, when it monitored matters, it simply followed its own whims.
If it judged something harmless, it would slacken off on its own; if it judged something worth investigating, it would examine it carefully.
Of course, if Lingyun Sect drove it with full force, then it could not get away with being careless even if it wanted to.
However, it was a sect-guarding treasure, tied to the sect's karma and rise and fall, and had not been Sacrificially Refined by any individual.
It was not something any True Venerable could use with a casual thought.
