Qu Jianlei and the other True Venerables investigated a strange, hole-riddled world, rescued demon-corrupted Humans, and began severing the world from its many connections so they could take it away. The operation proceeded smoothly until a river of giant gray beetles passed by, and Qu Jianlei learned that the Void Herder was more than a race to avoid.

• Qu Jianlei and Han Li found Humans raised and demonized by heavenly devils, and Qu Jianlei began purifying and sheltering those he could save.
• The True Venerables decided to sever the strange Middle Thousand World, informed the Qiuzhen cultivators, and took the rescued Humans with them after Qiuzhen refused to shelter them.
• Qu Jianlei, Han Li, and Xiaoyou planned the operation, then took turns severing the world's connections while Qingkong, Spider Grand Monarch, Xiwu, and the dog rider supported them.
