Ch. 763Heartless

As Chen Shi spread the primal talisman, the Jade Emperor Great Heavenly Venerate chose to spare him and planned to bind Golden Ao Island to the Heavenly Court. Chen Shi suppressed the Dao god’s residual thoughts and returned to himself, while Chen Yindu and the others left to rescue Uncle Hu and secretly checked whether Chen Shi had hidden control loopholes in the talisman.

  • Dipankara Buddha, the Three Pure Realms, and Heavenly Court divinities obtained Chen Shi’s primal talisman and recognized its power, while Ziwei Great Emperor and Great Emperor Gouchen prepared to protect Chen Shi from the Jade Emperor Great Heavenly Venerate.
  • Chen Shi offered incense to the halberd in Biyou Palace three times, and the Jade Emperor Great Heavenly Venerate accepted it instead of striking him.
  • The Jade Emperor Great Heavenly Venerate ordered Heavenly King Li to confer on Chen Shi the titles of Supreme Sage Teacher and Dao Ancestor of Dharma Transmission, hoping to ally with Golden Ao Island against the Three Pure Realms and the Immortal Court.
  • Residual thoughts of the Dao god surged from the Heavenly Dao Smart Brain into Chen Shi, but Chen Shi suppressed them; Created Being Xiao Wu then returned his human nature to his Sea of Consciousness, stopping him from killing her and the others.
  • Chen Yindu, Sha Qiutong, Du Yiran, and Created Being Xiao Wu departed to rescue Uncle Hu, while Chen Yindu later verified that Chen Shi’s primal talisman contained no control loopholes.

Ch. 764Western Three Bodhisattvas

Chen Shi accepted the Jade Emperor Great Heavenly Venerate’s titles and learned that his many Dao paths would have to merge for him to consummate the Dao, while he also sought guidance on Divine Way cultivation. As Chen Shi prepared to visit Houtu Huangdiqi with Fairy Xiaoduan, three Western Heaven figures arrived to request an audience.

  • Fairy Xiaoduan questioned Chen Shi about differences in the meta-talismans, and Chen Shi reassured her that his newer versions had no loopholes.
  • Chen Shi sensed Great Dao qi converging from his three Dao realms and realized it was beginning to unite within him.
  • Heavenly King Li delivered the Jade Emperor’s decree naming Chen Shi Supreme Sage Teacher and Dao Ancestor of Dharma Transmission, then explained that Chen Shi must bring his conflicting Dao paths into unity to consummate the Dao.
  • Heavenly King Li gave Chen Shi the Tongtian Baozhao Sutra and advised him to seek Divine Way instruction from Houtu Huangdiqi and other gods.
  • Chen Shi asked Fairy Xiaoduan to accompany him to the Xuanhuang Sea, but Mahasthamaprapta, Samantabhadra, and Doushuai Tuotian Fahua Forest successively requested audiences with him.

Ch. 765The Three Sects of Western Heaven

Three Western Heaven bodhisattvas tried to persuade Chen Shi to seek refuge with their respective factions, but he refused and prepared to travel to the Xuanhuang Sea. After the bodhisattvas parted, Fahuālin pursued Chen Shi’s carriage while the others made separate plans to reach him.

  • Mahasthamaprapta, Samantabhadra, and Fahuālin arrived at Biyou Palace and each invited Chen Shi to the Western Heaven; Chen Shi declined and said he would seek refuge at Houde Palace if necessary.
  • Chen Shi reassured Elder Yun Cheng that Zhong Wuwang was safe, then asked Emperor Changchun, Yuanjun Niangpo, and the others to guard Golden Ao Island and Western Penglai while he traveled with Xiaoduan.
  • Chen Shi and Xiaoduan departed in the Emerald Cloud Glazed Chariot, whose many magical treasures had been built to monitor and track them; Chen Shi had used the outer dao to refine the devices he found.
  • After leaving Western Penglai, Samantabhadra and Mahasthamaprapta each went their separate ways, while Fahuālin pursued Chen Shi’s carriage; Samantabhadra headed for the ancestral realm but found Hangu Pass destroyed.
  • Samantabhadra encountered two dog-daoists escaping Wenshi’s soldiers near the Dark Sea, while Mahasthamaprapta reported Chen Shi’s refusal to Dipankara Buddha.
  • Dipankara Buddha sent the Great Sun Tathagata to persuade Chen Shi to take refuge in the Western Heaven.

Ch. 766Daoization of Great Luo Heaven

Chen Shi and Xiaoduan traveled toward Empress Houtu while debating whether the Primordial Talisman could prevent kalpa catastrophes, and the Jade Emperor Great Heavenly Venerate arranged rewards and a title for them. Their journey through lands scarred by war ended when they discovered that the peaceful Buddhist realm in the Eastern Heaven was a Great Luo Heaven transformed by a Buddhist expert, whose Bodhisattva attendant invited Chen Shi to visit.

  • Chen Shi voiced doubts that outer Daos in the Primordial Talisman would protect its practitioners from kalpa catastrophes, while Xiaoduan complained about the Great Heavenly Venerate's lack of rewards and titles for them.
  • The Jade Emperor Great Heavenly Venerate and Empress Dowager Wang discussed Chen Shi's achievements, issued rewards for Chen Shi, and conferred the title Consort Yuanjun Duan on Xiaoduan.
  • Empress Dowager Wang warned that the approaching primordial kalpa could overwhelm the Three Pure Realms and Western Heaven, while the Great Heavenly Venerate hoped the Primordial Talisman would weaken their influence and strengthen his control.
  • Chen Shi and Xiaoduan traveled through war-ravaged territories, where Chen Shi questioned why the leaders had not stopped fighting despite learning about the Primordial Talisman.
  • The Glazed Chariot entered a peaceful Buddhist realm in the Eastern Heaven, and Chen Shi recognized it as a Great Luo Heaven transformed by a Buddhist expert.
  • A Bodhisattva revealed the Great Luo Heaven in his palm and invited Chen Shi to Doushuai Tuotian as a guest on behalf of his Buddha.

Ch. 767Treasure Bottle

Chen Shi and Fairy Xiaoduan fought Bodhisattva Fahuālin after he tried to escort them to the Western Heaven, and they overwhelmed him by combining Xiaoduan’s dao-fire and attacks with Chen Shi’s Demon Blood Treasure Tree. They left Fahuālin trapped and corrupted inside his Treasure Bottle Heaven, while Chen Shi reflected that adopting proto-talismans would put Fahuālin’s life beyond his own control.

  • Chen Shi refused Bodhisattva Fahuālin’s demand to travel to the Western Heaven, so Fahuālin raised the Treasure Bottle Heaven to capture him and Xiaoduan.
  • Fairy Xiaoduan unleashed dao-fire that burned the Treasure Bottle Heaven, but Fahuālin used its reincarnation power to restore its inhabitants and temples.
  • Xiaoduan shattered the Treasure Bottle Heaven with her transformed attacks as Chen Shi summoned the Demon Blood Treasure Tree, whose outer dao corrupted Fahuālin’s world.
  • Fahuālin fought Xiaoduan and tried to reach Chen Shi, but the outer dao invaded his body, distorted his golden body, and rooted him to the ground beneath the tree.
  • Chen Shi and Xiaoduan departed in the glazed chariot, leaving Fahuālin self-sealed inside the spreading outer-dao jungle.

Ch. 768Cultivating All Beings

The Great Sun Tathagata studied Bodhisattva Fahuālin’s memories to prepare to capture Chen Shi and Fairy Xiaoduan, while Chen Shi received Houtu Huangdiqi’s warning that his growing influence made him a target. Though she urged him to abandon Western Penglai and hide, Chen Shi discovered that countless immortals revered him through their study of his meta-talismans and chose to stay and build his power.

  • The Great Sun Tathagata entered the polluted Treasure Bottle Heaven, found the helpless Bodhisattva Fahuālin, and examined his memories and the Demon Blood Treasure Tree’s meta-talismans.
  • The Great Sun Tathagata left Fahuālin behind and set out for the Eastern Heaven, intending to invite Chen Shi to the Western Heaven and confident he could keep Chen Shi and Fairy Xiaoduan there.
  • Houtu Huangdiqi welcomed Chen Shi and Fairy Xiaoduan, discussed having descendants, and received Chen Shi’s revised Xuanhuang meta-talisman.
  • Houtu Huangdiqi gave Chen Shi her Xuanhuang Dao Collection and warned him that powerful factions would target him, advising him to abandon Western Penglai and hide until he reached the Daluo Golden Immortal realm.
  • Chen Shi initially struggled to study the technique, then discovered that low-ranking immortals across many Dao realms had come to revere him while learning his meta-talismans.
  • Chen Shi decided to remain in Western Penglai, declaring that he would stand firm and rise beyond the Golden Immortal realm.
