I was somewhat frustrated. I had actually ended up trapped in a place like this.
The key was that, at this moment, there was nothing in this world except Ying Gou and me.
No living things, no dead things.
Ying Gou might not have felt upset, but I was different. I was human. I still needed to eat, drink, piss, and shit. Food and water were not a problem for the time being; what I had stored in my Mustard Seed Space would last me quite a while. But no matter how much I had stocked up, there would come a day when it ran out, right?
"Then how are we supposed to leave this place?" I asked Ying Gou. He shrugged. "I really don't know. That's all I know about the Longevity Curse. Still, I do regret acting so rashly against Xu Qiuyan."
I did not comment on that. What he had done back then could not really be considered wrong.
Xu Qiuyan had clearly wanted to kill me.
Of course, she was not the real Xu Qiuyan. But knowing that she had truly wanted my life still left me feeling uncomfortable.
"Why don't we keep walking forward and see?" Ying Gou said.
"Do we even need to walk? We can see what's ahead at a glance." I had already lost confidence.
But Ying Gou said, "You can't put it that way. Until we actually reach the end, no one can guarantee there's nothing there. No matter what, we can't just sit here and wait to die, can we?"
"Die? Can you even die? Even if this whole world dies, you won't." I said irritably.
Ying Gou smiled awkwardly. I was telling the truth. Unless he deliberately got himself killed, dying was not something that came easily to him.
