I sighed. "The absence of rules is the most terrifying thing. No rules is only an illusion; the truth is that rules are everywhere, you just don't know them. Is that how I should understand it?"
She nodded. "That's right. The longer you stay in a place like this, the more timid you become. I didn't say that—Dajiang did."
