Yuan Jiang asked whether the one secretly watching everything in this world was the Adventurers organization or the special group of hunters on Terrifying Ridge.
I wasn't sure. I always felt that the eye watching this world belonged to neither of them, but to something above them both.
If this Void Realm was merely a laboratory for an unordered society, then the eyes watching everything from behind the scenes should belong to the Experimenters. They did not allow rules to exist in this world, so they would not allow any powerful individual or organization to exist either.
A powerful individual could gather people around himself, forming an organization. Then, bit by bit, they would change the world and make it develop rules according to their own ideas.
And rules were not permitted in this world.
Likewise, this world had no need for organizations.
The Adventurers were an organization, and the hunters of Terrifying Ridge were likely one as well.
They had already drifted beyond disorder. It was just that their order had not yet exerted much influence on this world—or at least, that was what I had thought before coming to Terrifying Ridge.
But that did not seem to be the case on Terrifying Ridge.
So I felt that all this was more likely the hunters' doing.
I stared at the coffin for a long while, then said to Yuan Jiang, "Do you think his body is really inside?"
Naturally, Yuan Jiang was curious about that too.
"You're not planning to..." He did not finish, but I nodded. He said, "Fine. Let's open the lid and take a look."
We walked toward the coffin in the mourning hall, but before we could get close, the two rows of paper figures moved. They blocked our path directly.
