Little Demon did not know the gunman.
The gun the gunman used was not rare, at least not in the outside world. It was a semi-automatic rifle. I could not tell what brand it was, but a gun like that was quite lethal. At close range, getting hit could very well mean death.
But in the end, he still died at Yuan Jiang's hands.
I crouched down and carefully examined the corpse. He had been hit three times.
Yuan Jiang had fired four shots and landed three. That accuracy was truly impressive.
Earlier, he had said he had only handled guns before and was not particularly skilled at shooting, that his aim was somewhat poor. It seemed he had merely been being modest. Even if it had been me, I might not have shot more accurately than him.

But what exactly was Embroidery Woman? Did she truly have such a force behind her?
Although I had a gun on me as well, I knew Little Demon and Yuan Jiang were right. Using firearms in the Void Realm was against the rules. Forget using one—even possessing one could draw the attention of the forces lurking in the darkness.
Yet this gunman had used one so openly, and he had come specifically for us.
I did not know whether he wanted to kill Yuan Jiang or me, or whether he wanted both of
