That was my idea.
Although the Embroidery Woman had agreed to meet King Yan and help us rescue Xu Qiuyan, after much consideration, I decided to keep the fact that we had found her hidden for now. We would see what King Yan had to say when we met him.
What I did also improved the woman's attitude toward me considerably. At least in her eyes, I was not someone who would stop at nothing to achieve my goals.

Most of her questions were about Xu Qiuyan. She was intensely curious about someone who shared her name and looked exactly like her.
That was only natural. I would have been curious too.
The woman, on the other hand, said very little. She listened almost the entire time, answering only when the Embroidery Woman occasionally asked her something.
Still, it was clear that she was curious about Xu Qiuyan as well, because she listened very attentively.
We soon arrived at the small village beneath Terrifying Ridge.
The woman suddenly said, "Stop!"
All of us stopped.
The Embroidery Woman asked, "Granny Sang, what's wrong?"
Before the woman could answer, Ying Gou said, "There's an ambush."
Neither Qianqian nor I had sensed anything. Ying Gou added, "Killing intent!"
The woman glanced at Ying Gou, then nodded.
Ying Gou charged straight in. The woman hesitated for a moment, then said to me, "Protect her!" With that, she followed Ying Gou into the village.
The Embroidery Woman looked worried, her brows faintly furrowed. "They'll be all right, won't they?"
I smiled. "Don't worry. They should be fine."
