This was a standalone two-story house, and Huang Ting lived here alone.

Now the entire building was surrounded.

If we wanted to leave, we could only break through head-on.

"Let's go!" She was about to head downstairs.

I stopped her. "Wait!"

She looked at me doubtfully. "Are you scared?"

I shook my head. "What is there for me to be scared of? I just thought of a way."

She tilted her head at me. "What way?"

"I want to see if we can buy some time."

She froze. "Buy some time?"

I did want to buy some time, but I wasn't sure whether I could do it.

My idea was to return to ten minutes earlier, before those people arrived.

"What do you want to do?"

I wanted to turn time back ten minutes so that we would have a chance to escape.

Her eyes widened when she heard that. "You can control time?"

I gave a wry smile. "I want to try. If I can't control time, I'll see whether I can find a way through space instead."

She said, "Hurry. Once they launch their attack, we won't be able to hold out for long."

I nodded.

My control over time existed only in the theories of the Ghost Valley inheritance. In theory, we could briefly manipulate time.

But putting it into practice was extremely difficult.

This was my first attempt, and it would require an enormous amount of mental energy.

My mental strength was not particularly powerful, but at a time like this, I had to give it everything I had.

Following the method in the Ghost Valley inheritance, I concentrated my mental energy.

I grabbed Huang Ting's hand. She instinctively tried to pull away, and I said, "Don't move. I'm taking you back to ten minutes ago."
