The version of me who always wore a smile said, "What thoughts could we have? Didn't I just say it? There's an order to everything. You were the first to arrive here, and besides, by the timeline, you really are a little older than us. I have no objection to you being the boss. Whatever the boss wants to do, we'll support it. Isn't that right?"
