Sequel and Harvest

An extremely majestic and unfathomably profound voice echoed throughout the Three Realms: "All sages currently lingering within the Three Realms must immediately proceed to the depths of the chaos in the Outer Heavens to open up dojos, and shall not re-enter the Prehistoric World until the immemorial kalpa arrives."

The very moment this decree from a sage appeared, the mighty figures between heaven and earth all drastically changed expression.

Western Mount Sumeru.

Seated cross-legged before the Eight Treasure Merit Pool were the two sages of the Western Teaching, Jieyin and Zhunti.

Sage Zhunti said with a solemn expression: "Even though I have now become a supreme, eternal, and indestructible sage, I am still unable to see through the depth of Teacher Hongjun."

The voice that had just resounded across the Three Realms belonged precisely to the first sage of this world, Hongjun Daozu.

Daoist Jieyin wore a sorrowful expression and spoke in a calm tone: "Junior Brother, mind your words!"

Daoist Zhunti said nonchalantly: "Senior Brother need not be like this. We are both sages alike, why do I feel that I am on a completely different level from Teacher?"

Daoist Jieyin said: "I think, on the one hand, it should be because Teacher has embodied the heavenly Dao and thus has become much more powerful than us, and on the other hand, it should be because we took a shortcut to attain sagehood. Until we repay our debts and fulfill our grand aspirations, I am afraid we will be unable to gain any further progress in our cultivation."

Hearing this, Daoist Zhunti deeply agreed with Daoist Jieyin's statement; he knew that he had to repay the debts he owed to the heavenly Dao.

As a dignified sage, Daoist Zhunti traversed the Primordial Land year-round carrying the Seven Treasure Tree.
