The Supreme Mage panted heavily, her wary gaze fixed on the mocking face of Evil God Loki opposite her as a spine-chilling thought arose in her mind: Evil God Loki is toying with me. He could kill me at any second if he wanted to.
The emergence of this thought instantly filled the Supreme Mage with deep unease.
To soothe the unsettling emotions in her heart, the Supreme Mage decided to take a gamble.
Normally, close-quarters combat did not require drawing upon one's full magic power—as long as spell conversion and speed were fast enough, that was sufficient. Yet now, seeking to verify her theory, she channeled every ounce of magic power within her body.
