An interlaced red and green planet hung in the universe.
This was not a true planet, but rather a high-level living organism.
His name was Ego, and he was also a member of the Celestials, having lived for millions of years.
He was immensely powerful and extremely intelligent. He had learned how to manipulate molecules and used this ability to build himself a celestial-grade armor, disguising himself as a planet.
Out of loneliness, Ego explored the universe, attempting to find intelligent life-forms other than himself.
He successfully found intelligent life-forms, but unfortunately, the intelligent life he found also disappointed him. Those so-called intelligent life-forms were simply too weak compared to him, and he believed these inferior creatures were unworthy of ruling the world alongside him.
Over the millions of years that followed, he constantly wandered through the galaxy, leaving a seed behind every time he passed a planet.
That seed was his avatar.
He planned to expand his living planet, making all planets his avatars.
Yet when the time came to execute the plan, he embarrassingly discovered that his power was insufficient.
The power of a single Celestial was not enough to launch this plan.

afterward, as Ego passed through various planets, he left descendants with women of all sorts of races, hoping this would give birth to offspring possessing the power of a Celestials to assist him in completing his plan.
