Battle Against Golden Iron Beast

As sunlight poured down, the Black Iron Beast army's camp outside the city began making major moves.

The Motorcycle Clan warriors atop the walls also began preparing to defend the city. They were ready to sacrifice themselves. To protect their homeland, they had to fight this battle—and they had to win.

Once the Black Iron Beast army was ready, Golden Iron Beast stood atop an armored vehicle and shouted at the city wall, "Who killed Azure Iron Beast last night?!"

Blaze immediately stepped forward on the wall, pointed at himself, and declared loudly, "I did!"

Golden Iron Beast carefully sized Blaze up before shouting, "Open fire!"

Having received the order, Golden Iron Beast's army advanced while firing. The cannons on their claws continuously spat flames.

The City Lord was not to be outdone. With a wave of his hand, he shouted, "Open fire!"

For a time, countless cannons along the wall fired without pause. Some sports car warriors extended their arms and used the small cannons mounted on them to rake the Black Iron Beasts below with fire.

Both sides engaged in fierce gunfire. Who knew how many Black Iron Beasts on the ground were blasted apart and killed.

Quite a few Motorcycle Clan warriors on the wall were also hit, shattered into pieces, and sent tumbling from the battlements.

Seeing the brutal scene, Xiao Zhen could only hide behind Blaze together with Hot Wheels.

As Xiao Zhen watched Motorcycle Clan warriors being shot down one after another atop the wall, he could sense the thick, brutal air of slaughter despite there not being a single drop of blood.

What he was seeing now was far more violent than in the animation. One Motorcycle Clan warrior after another had their heads blasted off or holes punched through their chests, dying miserable deaths.

Xiao Zhen silently thought, If this little body of mine took a cannon shot, would I even have any intact parts left?

When the army neared the city gate, Golden Iron Beast shouted, "Stop!"

Those atop the battlements saw the Black Iron Beast army cease fire below, though they had no idea what they intended to do. Still, they were not about to stop firing.

Standing before the drawbridge, Golden Iron Beast transformed directly into a sphere and began spinning continuously. Countless shells struck his body, yet they failed to inflict any serious damage.

Suddenly, Golden Iron Beast, still in spherical form, launched into a massive leap before transforming back into battle mode in midair.

While airborne, Golden Iron Beast fired two shells at the drawbridge's steel cables, severing the left steel suspension cable.

Blaze shouted in shock, "Not good! He's trying to shoot through the cables! Stop him!"

The others quickly turned and concentrated their fiercest firepower on Golden Iron Beast, trying to force him back.

But it was already too late. Golden Iron Beast made another huge leap and snapped the remaining cable as well.

Without its cables, the bridge came crashing down, creating a path for the Black Iron Beast army to attack the city gate.

With the drawbridge now leading to the gate, the moat outside the city became nothing more than decoration. Golden Iron Beast waved his hand and ordered, "Charge!"

The Black Iron Beasts began a frenzied assault. The Motorcycle Clan warriors on the wall were no pushovers either, unleashing a barrage of fire at every Black Iron Beast attempting to cross the bridge.

Black Iron Beasts charged forward one after another, only to be taken out on the bridge. Yet the number gathering at its entrance only continued to grow.

Seeing vast numbers of Black Iron Beasts being cut down one after another, Hot Wheels shouted excitedly from the wall, "Shoot them dead! Shoot them dead! Let's see how you cross the river now! Hmph!"

Xiao Zhen said with some emotion, "It's useless. City of Time's defenses are still too weak. It probably won't be able to hold out much longer."

Hot Wheels, standing beside him, was displeased. He said resentfully, "Hey, Xiao Zhen, can you stop saying such discouraging things? What do you mean it can't hold? Aren't we defending it just fine?"

Golden Iron Beast shouted again, "Sphere attack! Smash the city gate open for me!"

At once, several Black Iron Beasts transformed into spheres and began ramming the gate repeatedly. If the gate fell, City of Time would face utter destruction.

Blaze shouted anxiously, "Quick, attack!"

The Black Iron Beasts below were not helpless either. To cover their comrades battering the gate, they began suppressing the Motorcycle Clan warriors on the wall with concentrated fire.

Blaze turned to Xiao Zhen and asked, "Xiao Zhen, what should we do now?"

Xiao Zhen stroked his chin and began carefully recalling the original plot. It seemed that Mecha King Luoluo had controlled Blaze to destroy the drawbridge, then barely exchanged a move with Golden Iron Beast, allowing City of Time to be preserved with great difficulty.

Xiao Zhen looked at Blaze and Vanguard. With these two generals present, there should not be any major problems if things followed the original story.

Xiao Zhen beckoned to Blaze and Vanguard, then began discussing his plan with them.

The seemingly massive city gate gradually dented and warped after enduring countless impacts. In the end, two Black Iron Beasts forcibly smashed it open. The two sports car warriors who had been bracing the gate were pinned beneath the fallen gate. They had likely been crushed flat.

Seeing the breached gate, Golden Iron Beast was just about to lead his army inside when a shout rang out from within: "Thunder Half-Moon Slash!"

The two Black Iron Beasts who had just stepped into the city were sent flying back out, crashing hard onto the ground. Two streams of battle energy flew out from their bodies and were absorbed by Blaze.

Blaze slowly walked out through the city gate and locked eyes with Golden Iron Beast across from him.

Golden Iron Beast waved his claws a few times and said flatly, "Make your move!"

Blaze was somewhat nervous as well. After all, there was a difference of several levels between them. But to protect his homeland and companions, he could only force himself forward.

Blaze shouted, "Thunder Half-Moon Slash!" and charged at Golden Iron Beast.

Golden Iron Beast did not underestimate Blaze either. He unleashed his ultimate move, Aurora Divine Wind Claw, and began clashing with Blaze.

After the exchange, Blaze was sent straight back to the city gate by the recoil of Golden Iron Beast's ultimate move.

Just as Golden Iron Beast prepared to press his advantage, a blue figure leaped down from the battlements.

Vanguard jumped directly down from the tower and unleashed his own ultimate move, Sky-Shaking Wave Kill.

Golden Iron Beast had barely regained his footing when he saw Vanguard leaping down from the wall, and instinctively sensed danger.

But Golden Iron Beast had just used his ultimate move and had no time to use it again. He could only rely on his pair of claws to forcibly block the attack.

Vanguard did not tangle with Golden Iron Beast for long. After exchanging one move, he leaped back to the city gate.

Golden Iron Beast did not fare so well. He was sent flying outright. If he had not crashed into several Black Iron Beasts behind him, he might have rolled even farther.

Taking advantage of the moment, Blaze used his large blade to destroy the drawbridge, effectively blocking the Black Iron Beasts' assault from the other side.

Golden Iron Beast hurriedly climbed to his feet, pointed at the two across from him, and said indignantly, "You're despicable! You actually launched a sneak attack!"

Blaze and Vanguard felt somewhat embarrassed. After all, sneak attacks were hardly honorable.

Inside Vanguard, Xiao Zhen used his scanner to check Golden Iron Beast's health.

Xiao Zhen discovered speechlessly that, after that fierce sneak attack, Golden Iron Beast only had 12% health remaining. If they had pushed a little harder just then, Wild Star might have lost Golden Iron Beast, one of his great generals, ahead of time.

Badly injured, Golden Iron Beast looked at Vanguard and Blaze across from him and could only withdraw his troops unwillingly.
