The corner of Xiao Zhen's mouth lifted as he said to Blaze, "Blaze, do as I say. Maybe we can scare them into retreating."

Blaze nodded. He no longer wanted to keep fighting the Black Iron Beast army either. If the battle continued, no one knew how many more people in City of Time would lose their precious lives.

Under Xiao Zhen's guidance, Blaze stepped forward a few paces and shouted, "Golden Iron Beast! You'll never take our City of Time. If you don't want even more of your men to become casualties, then withdraw your troops!"

"Withdraw? Damn it!" Golden Iron Beast swept his gaze around at his men. If they kept fighting, there would surely be many casualties, but he was equally unwilling to give up.

At that moment, Blue Iron Beast quietly approached Golden Iron Beast and whispered, "General, orders have arrived from the Marshal. He commands us to head to Energy City immediately and assist him in taking it."

Golden Iron Beast looked once more at the two figures standing opposite him before reluctantly saying, "Retreat!"

The people atop the city walls watched as the Black Iron Beast army receded like a tide.

For a moment, thunderous cheers spread throughout the entire City of Time.

Xiao Zhen also flew out of Blaze's body, plopping down onto the ground. He wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and said wearily,

"I'm exhausted. It's finally over."

"Xiao Zhen, thank you so much this time. If it hadn't been for you, City of Time..." Blaze said sincerely.

Xiao Zhen waved a hand and said indifferently, "It was what I should have done. After all, I'm your Mecha King."

As Xiao Zhen rested on the ground, he suddenly realized that a pair of hands had grabbed him. It was Vanguard.

Seeing his feet leave the ground, Xiao Zhen said in alarm, "Hey, Vanguard, what are you doing? Put me down!"

Vanguard ignored Xiao Zhen's cries and placed him directly on his shoulder, laughing loudly. "Come on, my Lord Mecha King. Let's go inside and celebrate properly."

While Xiao Zhen and a group of robots sang and danced in celebration of their victory, things were far from peaceful back at his home. It was practically in an uproar.

Guan Xue, the Xiao Clan's First Madam, was sobbing nonstop, while Xiao Lin, the head of the Xiao Clan, had a terrible headache.

Even Fa Ma, the president of the Alchemist Guild, broke into a cold sweat when he learned that his talented disciple had secretly run away from home alone to gain experience.

The Xiao Clan had no idea how many hidden enemies it had within the Jia Ma Empire, yet that little ancestor had slipped away by himself after leaving only a letter without even saying goodbye.

The Xiao Clan was now searching frantically. The Alchemist Guild had also lent them its support, yet they still could not find the slightest trace of Xiao Zhen.

The furious Xiao Lin even shouted, "When we find that brat, I'll spank his backside until it blooms!"

Xiao Zhen's elder brother, Xiao Zhan, had to care for his pregnant wife while also searching for his missing younger brother. It truly was hard on him.

The morning sunlight shone over City of Time. Xiao Zhen groggily opened his eyes, then suddenly shivered.

"I keep feeling like something bad is going to happen. Could it be that, as a man, I have some kind of sixth sense too?" Xiao Zhen muttered to himself.

After resting in City of Time, Xiao Zhen and the others set off for City of Time.

Xiao Zhen had originally suggested that City Lord Bai move the entire city to Energy City and gather the Motorcycle Clan's strength as much as possible.

After thinking it over, City Lord Bai still rejected the suggestion, though he explained his reasons.

There were many robots in City of Time, and many of them were not built for combat. They could easily encounter danger in the wilderness.

Furthermore, although Energy City was rich in resources, it could not sustain the consumption of so many people. Robots needed to eat too; they had to absorb energy to maintain their daily activities.

Moreover, City of Time's current crisis had already been resolved. It should not encounter danger again anytime soon.

Since City Lord Bai had made things so clear, Xiao Zhen could not force the issue. His original intention had been to bring along the robots of City of Time so they could help defend the Motorcycle Clan's most important city.

Energy City's situation was far from good. Tiger King and Wild Star, the two great War Kings, were watching it covetously in the open, while an even more terrifying Tyrannosaurus God lurked in the shadows, giving no one peace of mind.

At last, the time for parting arrived. That day, everyone gathered at the entrance of City of Time.

City Lord Bai walked up to Blaze, patted him on the shoulder, and said with emotion, "Blaze, your level is higher than mine now. I don't have much left to teach you. You'll have to walk the road ahead by yourself."

Blaze pulled City Lord Bai into a hug and said reluctantly, "Master, after this farewell, who knows how long it will be before we meet again."

City Lord Bai laughed heartily. "All right! Blaze, don't act like a child. That doesn't suit you."

With his sensitive ears, Xiao Zhen heard the word "child" and somehow felt it was aimed at him. After all, among them all, he was the only child.

Even Hot Wheels was an old fellow who had lived for more than two hundred years. At his age, he was probably no different from a baby in their eyes.

City Lord Bai continued, "Blaze, you are the number one expert of our City of Time. When you head to Energy City this time, don't disgrace City of Time."

Blaze nodded and said confidently, "Don't worry, Master. I know what to do."

"Oh, right, this is for you." City Lord Bai seemed to recall something and pulled out a glittering golden object from behind him.

Seeing it, Blaze was somewhat surprised. "This is... the City Defense Token!"

City Lord Bai nodded and said directly, "That's right. This is City of Time's most important item, the City Defense Token."

Blaze hesitated. He did not know whether he should accept it and could only ask, "But, Master, isn't this something only the City Lord can possess?"

City Lord Bai said with emotion, "I'm already old. The future will depend on you. I'm merely handing it over to you ahead of time. When you return to City of Time next time, you will officially become the City Lord of City of Time."

After thinking for a moment, Blaze accepted the token. This represented his willingness to accept the position of City Lord of City of Time.

Next, City Lord Bai spoke to Blaze about a few more matters of concern, mainly telling him to be careful and not act rashly.

"Wait, I have something to say!" At that moment, a voice rang out from behind the crowd of robots who had come to see them off.

Everyone moved aside to make a path. Xiao Zhen saw clearly that the one speaking was actually Hot Wheels.

Xiao Zhen curiously walked over to Hot Wheels and asked, "Hot Wheels, what is it? Don't tell me you want to come with us."

Hot Wheels put his hands on his hips and declared loudly, "That's right, I'm going too. I happen to want to see what the legendary Energy City looks like."

The corner of Xiao Zhen's mouth lifted as he said in a threatening tone, "Then aren't you afraid something might happen along the way? Say, an ambush or something? Your little life could be in danger."

Hot Wheels raised his head proudly and said disdainfully, "Am I, Hot Wheels, the kind of robot who fears death? Besides, with Blaze and Vanguard there, what danger could there be?"

Xiao Zhen was a little surprised. Hot Wheels had actually gotten smarter. He had originally thought Hot Wheels was afraid of death and would not come along, meaning there would be far fewer laughs later on. He had not expected him to think things through.

And so, the team heading for Energy City was decided.

It consisted of Mecha King Xiao Zhen, the two great experts Blaze and Vanguard, as well as Hot Wheels.
