Trap

At Energy City, the two armies outside the city were facing each other.

Wild Star shouted, "Just say what your conditions are! I hate people who beat around the bush!"

"I hope this will be a one-on-one battle between you and me. Neither side's subordinates may interfere!" Tiger King said calmly.

"Oh!" Wild Star was somewhat surprised. He had not expected Tiger King to challenge him to a duel. After all, he was a strength-type War King. In a one-on-one fight, Tiger King would not have much of an advantage.

Of course, Tiger King had no good intentions. He had long prepared an ambush and was merely waiting for this fool to walk into it. He continued:

"You should know that if our two sides go to war, it will be no joke. If we suffer heavy losses, those Motorcycle Clan might seize the chance to attack and take advantage of us."

Wild Star considered it carefully and felt that Tiger King had a point. They were both from the Fierce Beast Clan. If they truly fought each other to a standstill, Energy City's Motorcycle Clan might indeed benefit from it.

"Fine, I agree. This will be a duel between you and me. Whoever loses withdraws their army." Wild Star readily agreed.

Soon, Wild Star and Tiger King had their respective subordinates fall back and began their final conversation before the decisive battle.

"Wild Star, it has been so long since we brothers last met. Who would have thought that we would have to fight the moment we met again? It really pains my heart!" Tiger King said hypocritically.

Wild Star cursed loudly, "Hmph, Tiger King, stop pretending! All this time, you've been constantly expanding your strength and invading my territory whenever you please. Before long, you probably want to wipe me out too!"

Tiger King sneered inwardly. I never expected this fool to use his brain. He actually guessed my intentions. Today, I'll send this idiot on his way! But what he said was entirely different.

"Not at all. This is merely a misunderstanding. In this world where the strong prey on the weak, without strength, you have nothing. I had no choice but to do what I did! Do you have a better solution?"

Wild Star did not buy it. Tiger King had schemed against him too many times before. He said disdainfully, "Hmph! What a fine 'no choice.' Let my fists do the talking."

Tiger King hurriedly waved his hands and said falsely, "Don't, don't force me to make a move!"

The moment Tiger King finished speaking, he lunged straight at Wild Star. His speed was astonishing, leaving an orange-yellow afterimage in the air.

Wild Star was no pushover either. He had dealt with Tiger King many times before and understood his character well enough. He had long guessed that Tiger King would launch a sneak attack.

Before long, the two War Kings were locked in a fierce battle. The Motorcycle Warriors standing on Energy City's aerial platform watched the fight with grave expressions.

Lightning City Lord asked City Lord Huang beside him, "Brother Huang, who do you think is stronger in this duel? Who will win?"

City Lord Huang pondered for a while before answering seriously, "Judging purely by strength, Wild Star should be a little stronger. Although Tiger King's speed is astonishing, no one in Mecha Beast World can match Wild Star's power.

"However, many factors influence a battle. Tiger King has always been sinister and cunning. I fear he has other tricks up his sleeve."

On a small mountaintop, Golden Iron Beast, who had waited so long he was practically growing mushrooms, suddenly received a message.

Since Tiger King had already begun battling Wild Star, a Black Iron Beast had come to inform Golden Iron Beast. Golden Iron Beast, who had been waiting for a long time, had already given up waiting—not because he had run out of patience.

Rather, Golden Iron Beast believed that Tiger King was always crafty. How could he obediently duel their marshal? There had to be a conspiracy behind it. Golden Iron Beast was far more intelligent than Wild Star and immediately guessed Tiger King's scheme.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Tiger King relied on his speed advantage to repeatedly use the saber teeth in his hands to leave wound after wound on Wild Star's body. Seeing their marshal's might, the Black Panther Beast army kept cheering him on.

But who was Wild Star? In terms of defense, absolutely no one in Mecha Beast World could compare to him. Tiger King's attacks had only caused him minor injuries and posed no real threat at all.

Wild Star gathered a great amount of energy and launched a frenzied assault. Unfortunately, not a single punch struck Tiger King. Even so, he laughed heartily. "It's been a long time since I've fought this enjoyably."

Tiger King said defiantly, "What comes next will be even more enjoyable!"

After saying that, Tiger King transformed directly into his tiger form and unleashed his signature move, Storm Nebula Split. He leaped into the air and struck fiercely at Wild Star.

After taking Tiger King's ultimate move, Wild Star was knocked back several steps and fell hard onto the ground.

Tiger King, having just used his ultimate move, smiled and asked, "Wild Star, how was my move?"

Wild Star got to his feet, dusted himself off, and said disdainfully, "Pathetic. It was like scratching an itch."

Immediately afterward, Wild Star unleashed his own ultimate move, Thunder King Kong Fist. That fierce punch directly sent Tiger King staggering backward.

If Tiger King had not been fast enough, taking that punch head-on would not have felt good.

Soon, the two War Kings began battling in beast form. However, Wild Star was the one constantly chasing Tiger King down and attacking him. Yet Wild Star's speed was never enough to catch Tiger King, which left him somewhat irritated.

Tiger King mocked, "With fists that slow, you'll never hit me!"

"I'll make you miss! I'll make you miss!" Wild Star flew into a rage after being mocked. He began madly pursuing Tiger King, cursing as he chased him.

Tiger King said disdainfully, "If you have the ability, come catch me!"

Very soon, one fled while the other pursued, and they fought farther and farther away until they vanished from everyone's sight.

A Black Iron Beast asked Silver Iron Beast worriedly, "General Silver Iron Beast, the marshal and Tiger King are fighting farther and farther away. He... he'll be all right, won't he?"

Silver Iron Beast said casually, "Relax. Our marshal is invincible. Tiger King is absolutely no match for him!"

It was unclear whether Silver Iron Beast's words came from genuine confidence or whether he had already colluded with Tiger King by then.

Still, the Black Iron Beast said worriedly, "That may be true, but Tiger King is exceedingly treacherous. I'm afraid he may use some underhanded scheme. We should go take a look!"

Silver Iron Beast said impatiently, "Do I need you to tell me how to do my job? With the marshal absent, I'm in charge here! Without my orders, no one is to move!"

The Black Iron Beast had no choice but to respond, "Yes, General."

In a secluded valley, Wild Star chased Tiger King deep inside. Before long, they reached the end.

The two then exchanged a blow. But how could speed-focused Tiger King possibly be a match for strength-focused Wild Star? Wild Star's first savage slam sent Tiger King flying.

Looking at Tiger King, who had nowhere left to run, Wild Star said disdainfully, "Tiger King, you've truly disappointed me!"

Just as Wild Star was feeling smug, a cannon blast rang out in the distance, and a shell struck him squarely in the back.

Wild Star turned around and discovered that it was none other than Tiger King's capable subordinate, Green Panther Beast. Besides Green Panther Beast, hundreds of Black Panther Beasts were glaring at him menacingly.

Wild Star angrily demanded, "Tiger King, what is the meaning of this?"

Only then did Tiger King reveal his true colors. He said sinisterly, "I have long heard that Marshal Wild Star is invincible, but unfortunately, his brain does not work very well. Can't you see that this is a trap?"

Wild Star cursed furiously, "You shameless bastard! We agreed on a one-on-one fight, yet you set up an ambush here!"

"Hehehe, all warfare is based on deception!" Tiger King laughed loudly, then added, "Wild Star, I've paid a hefty price for this move of mine!"

Soon, Wild Star's furious roars and Tiger King's laughter echoed through the valley.
