Loyalty Saves the Lord

Enraged, Wild Star charged straight at Tiger King, who was laughing before him.

The shockwaves from their battle forcibly pushed the surrounding Black Panther Beasts back a step.

As Tiger King's capable subordinate, Green Panther Beast had inherited Tiger King's style. He aimed the cannon on his back at Wild Star, who was locked in a struggle with Tiger King.

With a bang, a high-speed shell fired from Green Panther Beast's cannon and struck Wild Star squarely in the back, landing a heavy blow at a critical moment.

Wild Star turned to look at Green Panther Beast, then at Tiger King, and cursed bitterly, "Tiger King, you're so despicable!"

Tiger King was unconcerned as he announced, "Get him! Whoever takes down Wild Star will be rewarded with an Energy Amethyst."

With their eyes reddened by greed, the Black Panther Beasts rushed Wild Star one after another, intending to bury him beneath sheer numbers.

The commotion here was so great that it carried beyond Energy City. A worried Black Iron Beast said, "General, it sounds like something has happened to the Marshal. Let's go take a look!"

"No!" Silver Iron Beast refused. Turning his back to the Black Iron Beast, he said righteously, "The Marshal agreed to a one-on-one duel. Look, their army hasn't moved either. If we act rashly, the Marshal will be angry."

If Xiao Zhen had been here, he would definitely have said that this fellow had probably already defected to the enemy.

If Wild Star knew what Silver Iron Beast was saying now, he would surely smash him into scrap metal with a Thunder King Kong Fist.

Black Iron Beast wanted to say something else, but Silver Iron Beast cut him off. "Shut up! Why do you have so much to say? Are you trying to disobey military orders?"

Just as Silver Iron Beast was berating Black Iron Beast, a shrill scream tore through the sky from within the canyon.

Wild Star had just killed several Black Panther Beasts when Tiger King seized the opening. With his incredible speed, he ambushed the still-dazed Wild Star and sent him flying.

"Everyone, prepare to fire!"

At Tiger King's command, all the Black Panther Beasts in beast form aimed the pitch-black cannons on their backs at Wild Star and unleashed a fierce barrage.

With no other choice, Wild Star could only raise both fists before him to keep the shells from striking his vital points.

Wild Star's situation was dire. If this continued, he would be beaten to death sooner or later. Even if his thick armor and high health meant that a hundred shells could only take one percent of his health, he would eventually die all the same.

Seeing Wild Star's miserable state, Tiger King could not help mocking him. "Is this the Wild Star who thinks himself above everyone else? Why do you look so pitiful?"

"Marshal, we're here!" In the distance, three iron balls of different colors rolled toward them.

Once they arrived, the three iron balls transformed into Golden Iron Beast, Blue Iron Beast, and Purple Iron Beast.

Golden Iron Beast said anxiously, "Marshal, we need to retreat!"

After speaking, Golden Iron Beast fired a shell into the sky. The Black Iron Beast army outside Energy City saw it as well.

The Black Iron Beast squad cried out, "Oh no, it's a distress signal! The Marshal is in danger! Everyone, come with me!"

After saying that, the Black Iron Beast squad leader transformed into a ball and led a large group of Black Iron Beasts toward the canyon, completely ignoring Silver Iron Beast beside him.

Within the canyon, Golden Iron Beast was rebuking Tiger King. "Tiger King, you're truly sinister. You couldn't defeat our Marshal, so you resorted to such underhanded methods."

Blue Iron Beast beside him echoed, "That's right, Tiger King. Our main force will arrive soon. Your scheme won't succeed this time."

Hearing their curses and threats, Tiger King was unfazed. Instead, he burst into laughter.

Wild Star asked furiously, "Tiger King, what are you laughing at?"

"Haha! I'm laughing at how naïve you are!" Tiger King sneered.

Wild Star said angrily, "Who are you calling naïve?"

"You think your army can make it here? They'll only become a few more burial offerings." Tiger King sneered.

On both sides of this ravine-like canyon, however, large numbers of Black Panther Beasts had already been lying in ambush, their cannons aimed into the canyon.

As the Black Iron Beast army continued advancing through the center of the canyon, several huge boulders suddenly fell ahead of them, blocking their path.

When Wild Star saw this, he knew it was a trap prepared long ago. He roared in fury, "Tiger King, I'll fight you to the death!"

Wild Star had only twenty percent health left. Facing Tiger King head-on, while Tiger King still had more than half his health remaining, would bring him no advantage at all.

Outside in the canyon, the Black Panther Beasts stood on the high ground along both sides and fired down upon the Black Iron Beasts below. They held an overwhelming advantage.

For every Black Panther Beast they killed, ten Black Iron Beasts would be shot down. This was simply a massacre—a massacre directed at the Black Iron Beasts.

Inside the canyon, Wild Star had just punched two charging Black Panther Beasts to death when Tiger King seized the chance and launched another sneak attack, blasting him straight into the stone wall.

Looking at Wild Star sprawled on the ground, Tiger King mocked, "Wild Star, your health is almost gone. Hahaha!"

Wild Star struggled to his feet and said furiously, "If you didn't have so many men, you would never be my match."

Tiger King replied disdainfully, "Wild Star, didn't you claim to be invincible under heaven? Why would you fear having a few more people on my side?"

"Attack!" Tiger King gave the order once more, and another group of fearless Black Panther Beasts pounced forward.

Wild Star skillfully knocked two more Black Panther Beasts away, but Tiger King seized the opportunity again. The same old trick—another sneak attack while Wild Star had not yet recovered his senses.

Same formula, same ambush. Wild Star fell for it again.

A flash of killing intent appeared in Tiger King's eyes as he said cruelly, "Wild Star, let me finish you myself!"

Just as Tiger King was about to deliver the killing blow, the fiercely loyal Golden Iron Beast stepped directly in front of Wild Star. He said resolutely, "Marshal, I'll hold them here. Go!"

After speaking, Golden Iron Beast charged forward and immediately engaged Tiger King in battle.

Although Wild Star had only a sliver of health remaining, he still had plenty of energy within him. He unleashed the Thunder King Kong Fist and shattered the boulders blocking the way.

The moment the stones were destroyed, Silver Iron Beast rushed over and asked with concern, "Marshal, are you all right?"

Wild Star faced Silver Iron Beast directly and led his men to charge back into the fight.

How could Silver Iron Beast listen to Wild Star? He immediately said, "No, Marshal. Tiger King has too many men. We'll seek revenge another time."

As soon as Silver Iron Beast finished speaking, several Black Panther Beasts lunged at Wild Star. But Wild Star was no pushover; even a dying camel was larger than a horse.

Wild Star dealt with those foolhardy Black Panther Beasts in just a few punches, though he himself had little energy left, and his health was nearly depleted.

Inside the canyon, Golden Iron Beast was also sent flying by a strike from Tiger King. Watching Tiger King charge toward them in a hurry, Silver Iron Beast ordered Blue Iron Beast and Purple Iron Beast, "You two stay behind and cover our retreat. I'll protect the Marshal and leave first!"

Blue Iron Beast and Purple Iron Beast did not dare disobey Silver Iron Beast's shameless order. Besides, they were willing to stay behind for Wild Star.

If Golden Iron Beast had been in Silver Iron Beast's place, he would definitely have stayed behind himself. He would never have made his subordinates wait there to die.

Seeing the two blocking his way, Tiger King erupted with all his strength. With one pouncing strike, he killed the closer Blue Iron Beast first.

The difference in their levels was too great. Blue Iron Beast had little ability to resist and could only become Tiger King's experience energy. However, Tiger King was already at max level, so even killing more would not let him level up.

Seeing an important companion killed so easily, Purple Iron Beast knew his own limits. He immediately pulled out the switch for the Backup Hidden Energy System, preparing to perish together with Tiger King.

With a bang, a violent explosion resounded through the entire canyon. Quite a few Black Panther Beasts were blown to death on the spot.
